SIA hosts Apple CEO Tim Cook

Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Singapore Airlines on 12 December and met SIA CEO Goh Choon Phong at the SilverKris Lounge to learn more about SIA's digital transformation efforts, understand how Apple's enterprise apps support our everyday operations, and discuss potential partnerships. 

Also at the lounge, SVP IT George Wang gave a short presentation on SIA's digital initiatives followed by an introduction of the Kristal iPhone app by Premium Passenger Services Manager Philipp Lim whose team co-developed the application for the ground staff at Singapore Airlines’ lounge.

The visit would not be complete without a tour of the latest addition to SIA's fleet – the Boeing 787-10. Captain Raj Kumar, Deputy Chief Pilot Boeing 777 fleet, demonstrated to Cook and Mr Goh the FlyNow and Roster apps which he also helped to develop – in the aircraft's cockpit.
